How to wear my KEYP Asleep Bonnet
Jun 16, 2025
Your step-by-step guide to beauty sleep done right
Let’s be real. Sleeping with curly, textured, or styled hair can feel like a gamble. One wrong toss or turn and you wake up with flat curls, frizz, or a full-on fluff ball. That’s why we created the KEYP Asleep Bonnet. It’s a smarter way to sleep, preserve your style, and actually rest. But how do you wear it properly? Here’s everything you need to know.
1. Start With Dry, Styled Hair
Make sure your hair is dry before bed. That’s how you lock in the look. Pineapple, heatless curls, or leave it loose—whatever suits your routine.
2. Flip, Scoop and Secure Your Hair
Gather your hair inside the top of bonnet. Our StyleSecure Stitch keeps it lifted so your volume and definition stay intact.
Pro tip: Fold forward and slip your bonnet on from back to front, gathering your hair at the crown. This helps protect volume and curl definition.
3. Adjust the Strap to Fit You Just Right
Use the adjustable strap to get a secure, comfy fit. No slipping. No squeezing. Just right.
4. Flip Down the Built-In Eye Mask
Ready to rest? Pull down the built-in eye mask to block out light without crushing your lashes and leaving dents.
5. Adjust Your Eye Mask to Fit Your Face Shape
Flip the front band inward over your forehead, then tuck in the side straps of the mask for a snug, blackout fit.
5. Sleep Easy
Roll, toss, snooze—your bonnet stays put. Wake up refreshed with hair that’s still on point.

Bonus Tips
- You can wear your bonnet with or without your favorite overnight treatment or oil.
- Wash the bonnet on your hair wash day to keep it fresh and clean (machine wash cold, gentle cycle, tumble dry low).

Impossible to put on, and WAY too hot. If the bonnet it tight enough to stay in place, I get a headache. If it’s loose enough to avoid a headache it falls off or works it’s way down covering my entire face. I pay less shipping for a huge box of yarn, crochet hooks, and craft supplies to come from EUROPE than I paid in shipping for this.
Yet another bonnet to add to the “paid too much for something useless,” stack.
I absolutely love this bonnet. Like other curly girls, I have at least 6 bonnets in my drawer, used a couple times, then left to sit. Some didn’t stay on, almost all too big, some too tight or not tight enough. Omg the Keyp bonnet is perfect in all areas!!!! I was shocked after my first night of wearing it, to wake up, shake out my hair, and have it look better than on wash day? I can’t believe someone hasn’t thought of this concept prior to now, but they have not, and now you have, and the curly girl world is a much nicer place now!!!! Congrats on selling out! I’m so glad I did the first day buy, but I’ll be looking to get a second bonnet !!
Thank you both.
